Family memories are so precious to me, far more valuable than gifts or possessions. While growing up in a family of five children with an abundance of aunts, uncles, and cousins, we would sit around playing games and reminiscing about the fiascos our parents got into while they were growing up. At any given holiday the entire family would cram into the kitchen cooking, laughing, and teasing but most of all sharing the joy of just being family. Many times the tales commenced as I childishly asked about who was in a picture on the wall or in an album.
Life holds story after story for all of us. As I grew up photography became a way for me to capture a piece of the journey with every photograph. Whether it be the stillness of a sunset on a lake, the graceful power of a skier carving his skis into the snow, the hubbub of the kitchen on Thanksgiving, or the adoring way a child looks at her mother, these images all describe a piece of life that's worth treasuring and sharing. It is my greatest joy to capture those emotions, thoughts, and most importantly, stories for the individuals and families with whom I work.
